Low Poly
Shrine
Personal Project, 2019

Having been inspired by amazing 3D art produced with simple polygons, I decided to adopt the low poly style for a personal project centred around a Japanese shrine.
I researched a number of shrines and scenery that my scene based to based on, then began modelling the assets.
I built up a few basic scene layouts, lighting and cameras before settling on a orthographic, top corner view.
The scene was then assembled and a adjustments were made to lighting, before animating the trees, leaves, cloth and lanterns.
Finally it came time to render with the
ambient occlusion and fog composited inside after effects.
