A talented, Melbourne skateboarder wanted to add some magic to his life when he started up his skateboard brand, Wood Wizard.

This client provided sketches to create the first designs from, including the logo. These were to be printed on promotional merchandise, such as stickers, pins, clothing, before moving to skateboard decks.

The first deck designs and illustrations are currently

in production.

It was briefed that the designs must maintain a rough and unpolished look, as to establish a relatable identity for the brand. Bright, conspicuous colours were another consistency, but aside from these specifics, I was given full creative liberty.

The world of wizardry provides an endless sources of material to draw from and blending it with the down to earth sentiment of skating produces some fun results.
