'Strawberry Fields, nothing is real.' - The Beatles

Manipulating and merging photographs was my initial exposure to art and design. Similar to this piece, I would take images out of context and blend them into surreal scenes using Photoshop.

Unfortunately the opportunity to work with a client on a photo manipulation has not presented itself, so I created Strawberry Fields in my spare time. A warm and cool contrast worked well due to the strong reds in the fighting fish and strawberries. Inspired by the strange and meaningless themes of the Beatles' song, I used colour and composition to guide my decisions rather than the realism of the subject matter.
